April Ross

April Ross was one of the few female beach volleyball athletes who earned medals during more than one Olympics. Alix-Klineman is set to compete alongside April Ross Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal over the coming days. Ross wants to achieve more than her first Olympic medal. For her part, she cemented her place as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the top female volleyball players at colleges across the nation. Ross was an international relations student at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the privilege of watching her daughter become the beach volleyball's biggest star.
