April Ross
April Ross is only one of the beach volleyball players to have won medals multiple times at an Olympics. Ross will compete in Tokyo for her third Olympic medal alongside Alix Klineman, a first-time Olympian. Ross also hopes to get her first Olympic medal. It could be the last time she has the chance to do so at the age of 39. But she's still convinced of winning top awards. Ross through NBC Boston, said that when the team performs consistently or well they can earn a gold. In addition, I'll try the chance to have chances. Ross was born in California, Costa Mesa in the year 1982. Her parents and sister were residents in the area. The athletic pursuits she pursued was continued by Newport Harbor High School where she played in a variety of different sports. She played basketball and ran track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors in her time as a college athlete. She was definitely the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. When she played in her college volleyball season, according to her college profile, she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. For her efforts she was awarded in 1999 as the Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. She also captured the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman may have started working together in the year 2017, however Ross was already an established athlete at the beach prior to when they teamed up. Actually Ross has been a winner of several important tournaments throughout her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 until 2013. She also worked with Klineman as well as herself. Kessy's teammate Ross, who was the winner of the world championship together with Kessy in 2009, also was an important player on the an international level. The duo eventually captured a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They were beaten out for the gold by the legendary group comprising Misty and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). As fate would have it Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 along with Walsh Jennings. After high school and several years prior to hitting the sand professionally, Ross balled out to the Trojans at USC while an collegiate. This was an impressive run for Ross at the college level. When she was a freshman in 2000, her play earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. The Trojans could also reach the Final Four with her help. Her personal life was tense after a devastating defeat in her sophomore year but was still able to achieve the All-American title. The last two years as a member of the Trojans' program the team was led to victory by winning successive national titles. Ross was an excellent volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the top female volleyball player at the college level. Ross studied the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross did not get to see Ross reach beach volleyball's highest level. Ross's mom passed away due to breast cancer while she was in her sophomore year at USC. But she still keeps her mother in her heart. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her both at and off the beaches.
