Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the owner and editor of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she was able to move to England at the age of 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it at the age of 21. She became an author for a conservative newspaper after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a few years later, she developed an online platform for voice which offered critiques of political scenarios. She was able to get many prominent contributors to share their views regarding politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she decided to become an Independent Candidate in the California Recall election to succeed former Governor Davis. She was also involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media according to Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th spot on the list. In the same year Guardian included her in the Top 100 Media List. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made the president of that media group which included many at the time-current AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Her character was formed by the closeness she had to her mother and her bond with her dad, despite her being very close to him. She displayed leadership qualities even in her early years.
