Fawn Mckay

Fawn McCay, born at Ogden Utah September 15, 1915. Fawn is a member of the Mormon Church's longest-running family, was able to combine her literary talents and exceptional research abilities into a brilliant biography on Joseph Smith. No Man knew My History appeared in 1945. The title came from a funeral speech delivered by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked those he addressed with the words"You don't know me" you never knew my heart. Nobody has known about my past. No one knows my history. The 29-year-old wrote Fawn at the time: Ever since the moment when he spoke, at least three-score writers have taken up the challenge. A lot of them have denigrated him and while others have glorified him. some have even experimented with diagnostics. It's not just that the documents do not exist, but the issue is that they're in complete contradiction. To assemble the documents -and separate the firsthand accounts from thirdhand plagiarism, and finally, to put Mormon and non Mormon stories together to form a credible mosaic is no easy job. This is exciting as well as informative. FawnBrodie was able to take on this expert project with gusto and enthusiasm. Her writings and research made her famous all over all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. A Personal Historiography (1974) and posthumously Richard Nixon.
